Interrupted by Brush Fire |

On Tuesday April 17th, 2012 Just after 19:00 hours crews were
drilling on hydrant hook ups when the brush fire box was
transmitted for State Route 706 in Jessup Twp. United 14
responded to the scene followed shortly by the Brush and Engine
6. United 14 arrived to find a small fire extending from a burn
barrel. Brush 7 arrived and stretched both 3/4" lines and
quickly knocked down the fire. Engine 6 arrived and sent it's
manpower forward to assist with over haul. units remained on
scene about 20 minutes ensuring the fire was out. There were no
injuries reported and only about a 20' X 20' area burned. |

Responds to a 3rd Working Fire in 24 Hours |

On Friday April 13th, 2012 at 15:00 United fire was alerted for
and engine assist to Hallstead for a working fire at a mutli
Unit Apartment building on Pine St. in Hallstead boro. United
Engine 6 responded with a crew of 4. First arriving crews
encountered a heavy fire load that has self ventilated from the
first floor and extended up into the second floor and attic. the
first due companies had made a excellent stop on the fire. on
our arrival our crew was assigned to division 2 AB corner for
overhaul. Our crew worked for just over an hour and a half
before being released by command. around 17:00.

| 2nd Working
Fire in the Boro |

For the second time in just over 16 hours United fire was
alerted for a structure fire in the Montrose boro. This time
units would be sent to 220 Park street at 08:58 on Friday
April13th. United 14 would again respond to the scene followed
the the Tower with a crew of 3 and Engine 2 with a crew of 4.
United 14 arrived to find a single story single family residence
with smoke showing occupants reporting a fire in the attic.
United tower arrived and laid in the the hydrant at Wilson and
Park. Engine 2 was directed to the hydrant in the driveway of
Medowview Nursing home.

Fire Laurel Street in the Boro |

At 16:40 on Thursday April 12th, 2012United fire was alerted for
a dryer fire in a basement of a residence on Laurel Street in
Montrose Boro. United 14 marked responding and arrived quickly
with nothing visible from the exterior of a small single story
residential. Upon further investigation he found a working fire
in the basement with the house begining to fill with smoke.
United Tower responded with a crew of 3. with light staffing due
to time of day United 14 requested a 2nd alarm be transmitted.
this added units from Rush, Springville, Meshoppen, Hallstead,
and Snake Creek. The Tower arrived and laid in from the hydrant
and chestnut and cherry. United engine 2 responded with a crew
of 2 and was directed to the hydrant at Cliff and Laurel. The
tower crew stretched a 1 3/4" line accessing the basement via an
outside entrance. As additional members were arriving with the
rescue and Engine 6, crews pulled a second hand line to the
first floor to check for extension.

| New Water
and Rope rescue Equipment added to Rescue |

Friday March 23rd, 2012
Cabot Oil and Gas has generously donated funds to purchase new
water and rope rescue equipment. Over the last few years there
has been an increased demand in water related rescue calls and
the age and condition of our current equipment could no longer
meet those demands. we are pleased to say the new equipment in

Brush fires
keep crew busy |

On Sunday March 18th, 2012 around 17:00 united fire was alerted
for a brush fire along State Route 29 in Dimock Twp. United 11
responded follwed by the brush truck and Engine 6. United
11 arrived with about 1/2 and acre burning. The brush and engine
arrived and deployed 3 lines quickly containing the fire.
Command then held the tanker at station while the crews handled
the overhaul. crews were back in service in about 30 minutes.
the fire was started by an unattended rubbish fire. Crews would
also handle 2 more brush fire Tuesday evening in Franklin Twp.
assisted by units from snake creek , silver lake and Forest

Tanker
Assist to Rush |

Just after 03:00 on Friday March 9th, 2012 United fire was
alerted to assist Rush fire with a fully involved residential
structure fire on State Route 706 near Lawton. United 13
responded to the scene followed by the tanker with a crew of 2.
Once the tanker arrived it assisted with establishing water
supply and then joining the tanker shuttle. The tanker remained
on scene until 05:45 before being released by command.
